Keep the newsletters coming all you wonderful art affiliated bloggers, arts organizations and websites! And yes, by all means put me on your mailing list. I just thought I would write a short post about the benefits of saying “yes” to the many great resources offering valuable information to artists. Most artist newsletters will offer links to art networks that have further links to art opportunities, resources, services, art blogs, and more. I would highly recommend that if you do not already get weekly monthly, or even daily art news updated, now is a good time to start. I know it is annoying to get a bunch of emails from people outside of your circle, but I think it is totally worth it. I subscribe to several of these art newsletters and I just drop them in a folder in my Gmail, and when I have a chance to check them out, I do. I will usually post a tweet if I think there is something worth tweeting. If you are a Washington State Artist, here is a great arts organization to kick off your newsletter folder ArtistTrust.org
