Artist Template Websites

Having an artist website to present your work and information to a wider audience is an essential tool for an artist. An artist that does not have a website will likely not be taken as seriously as those who have an online presence. At one time, if an artist or anyone for that matter, wanted a website built, they needed to hire a web developer to build the site from scratch. This was a time consuming endeavor, and time is money. You might save on cost by having a friend or relative build and maintain your website as a favor; the price may be right, but there is no guarantee that the site would be built or maintained to satisfaction.

That was, as I said, at one time. As the internet becomes more user friendly there are a lot of affordable ways to get an artist portfolio website up and running without having to hire a web developer, now that artist template websites are popping up online.

There are plenty of artist template websites out there available to artists that will make having a website affordable on any budget and fairly simple to maintain yourself. A google search for artist website templates will list several sitesMost of these sites will include a package at a monthly rate that includes a domain name, hosting, support, SEO and more. Many Sites will offer all of this at a monthly rate of $15 to $25, depending on what type of package you would like. There is nothing worse than not being in control of your own content and relying on someone else to make updates on your site. With suscription template sites like this, you have control. I will list severel template sites that I have found, but I have not tried them out personally. Once I do, I will write a blog telling all about it.
