Bret Corrington : photographer / mixed media artist / owner

When artist Bret Corrington was a student at The Evergreen State College, he was not in pursuit of creating a business model dedicated to the career development of visual artists and jewelry designers. Rather, he was seeking the answer to a complicated and ever pressing question: What does it take for an artist to continue creating art? The answer eventually became the foundation for Artist Eye Portfolio Studio.

Bret picked up his first camera at age 12 and a paintbrush soon followed. Throughout his life, art  has played a critical role in his well-being and has taken on many faces, including that of a writer, graphic designer and photographer.  He began learning the fundamentals of  photographing art in the mid 90’s by capturing his own work in order to begin exhibiting his paintings. Over the course of time Bret developed an amazing eye for detail, focusing on the intricacies and creative possibilities of photographing 3-dimensional art and jewelry as well as the fundamentals and necessity of developing an extraordinary portfolio. Bret has successfully bridged the gap that exists between artist and business; a task not easily accomplished.

Bret lives in Seattle with his wife Tam, son Ever and dog Sukie and continues pursuing his passion for art.
